7.30 pm Tuesday, 19 April, Te Manawa – Art Gallery, 326 Main Street, Palmerston North

In the last decade, our understanding of the role sleep plays in determining our physical and mental health has rapidly advanced. However, many people struggle to get enough good quality sleep. Associate Professor Leigh Signal will discuss the role sleep plays in determining our well-being, what happens to our bodies and brains when we don’t get enough sleep and ways of improving the amount and quality of sleep we obtain.

Leigh Signal is an Associate Professor and Associate Director at the Sleep/Wake Research Centre at Massey University. Her current work includes research into sleep and fatigue in occupational environments, the sleep and health of mothers and their children, and laboratory studies to understand the processes driving sleep.

All warmly welcome
